Yunnan Old Tree Sweet Golden Green Puer – 6g Biscuit Tea
From the sun-drenched highlands of Yunnan comes a rare and beautifully balanced tea: Sweet Golden Green Puer, pressed into compact 6g biscuits for effortless brewing and full-bodied flavour. Harvested from mature, deep-rooted tea trees, this tea bridges the gap between fresh green vibrancy and the grounding sweetness of lightly aged leaf, making it one of the gentlest, most approachable young puerh experiences available.
Unlike traditional sheng (raw) or shu (ripe) puerh, this tea is lightly processed and carefully sun-dried to preserve its natural golden-green colour and floral-honey profile. The leaves are plucked in early spring, selected from old trees known for producing thick, aromatic buds and soft, sweet character. They are then pressed into smooth, round 6g mini cakes, a format that locks in freshness, simplifies brewing, and makes sharing or travel effortless.
When steeped, the biscuit opens slowly, releasing a clear golden liquor with a delicate floral aroma. Notes of orchid, raw honey, and sugarcane rise from the cup, followed by a soft and slightly fruity body that recalls white grape, green pear, and fresh bamboo. There’s none of the sharp edge typical of young sheng puerh—only a mellow brightness and a clean finish, with a gentle throat-cooling sweetness that lingers long after the cup is empty.
