Great Tea Limited is based in Gloucestershire, England, and the driving force behind it is Alex Bomberg, a seasoned business professional, fellow tea lover and experienced traveller.

We feel that this journey we’re embarking on together, a journey of tea, tradition, and the people who bring it to life, begins with curiosity. By opening our minds and hearts to the world of tea, we unlock more than just flavours in a cup. We begin to understand the stories, histories, and cultures behind every leaf.

Our exploration starts with the origins of tea: where it comes from, how it was discovered, and the deep traditions that have shaped its path through time. But it doesn't stop there. We’ll travel through the regions and landscapes where tea thrives, each with its own terroir and character, while uncovering the many cultivars that define different styles and tastes.

Equally fascinating is the world of production methods, the craftsmanship that transforms fresh leaves into the diverse array of teas we enjoy today. From hand-rolled white teas to aged puer's and roasted oolongs, every step in the process makes a profound impact on the final cup. We will write some articles on these interesting topics and get them published on our tea blog. 

We hope that being part of this journey brings you as much joy and inspiration as it brings us. Our mission isn’t to flood your inbox or churn out weekly content. Instead, we’ll take a slower, more mindful approach, sharing thoughtful updates once a month, designed for those who genuinely want to deepen their connection to tea.

Over the months and years, we will be adding lots of interesting teas to our store, some rare and expensive, some easily affordable, everyday teas.
