Gongmei White Tea are a refined and convenient expression of traditional Chinese white tea, pressed into compact, easy-to-brew portions of 5g. Made exclusively from Gongmei tea leaves, this tea offers a mellow sweetness and gentle depth, showcasing the natural elegance and ageing potential that Gongmei is celebrated for.
This tea originates from Fuding, the historic birthplace of white tea. Harvested in May 2020, the leaves benefit from Fuding’s misty climate, clean mountain air, and mineral-rich soils. These conditions support slow leaf development, resulting in a tea with natural sweetness, resilience, and expressive aroma.
Each tea slice is individually packed, which helps with storage and also makes this white tea suitable for the office or travel and for the likes of hotels.
Traditional Craftsmanship
Gongmei is naturally withered and sun-dried, following classic white tea methods that involve minimal intervention. After processing, the tea is gently pressed into squares weighing approximately 5–6g each, preserving the leaves while encouraging smooth maturation and easy storage. This careful approach retains the tea’s pure flavour and natural nutrients.
