10 Years Aged Bamboo Leaf Wrapped Puer Tea Brick (250g)
This high-quality 10-year-old (2014) Puer Tea Brick comes from the historic tea-producing region of southern Yunnan, named after the town of Puer, where tea cultivation began nearly two thousand years ago. The region was once a major hub on ancient trade routes, which helped spread Puer tea across China and into neighbouring lands. Over time, its growing fame attracted the attention of imperial courts, and Puer tea was frequently offered as tribute to generations of Chinese emperors.
Puer tea is one of the few teas that improves naturally with age, much like a fine wine. Matured under proper conditions, a well-aged Puer develops smooth complexity and becomes increasingly valuable; some rare vintages are treasured for decades.
This 10-year-old tea showcases the deep, earthy profile Puer is known for, with a rich aroma and mellow, grounding taste. Naturally fermented and aged, it delivers a full-bodied flavour with minimal bitterness and a gentle lingering sweetness.
The tea brick is traditionally wrapped in a natural bamboo leaf and further covered with cotton cloth, which helps preserve its character during the ageing process while allowing airflow. This authentic wrapping style is not only practical but also reflects the heritage of classical Puer storage methods.
