Nanshan Supreme Tieguanyin – Wild-Grown Charcoal Roasted Oolong Tea
This is a rare, handmade, charcoal-roasted Oolong tea of very high-quality.
Nanshan Supreme Tieguanyin is a superbly crafted traditional Chinese oolong from the misty high slopes of Nanshan. Grown wild in natural forest environments and hand-harvested at peak maturity, this tea is a tribute to time-honoured tea craftsmanship. It is lightly oxidised and slowly charcoal-roasted to develop an exceptional balance of floral brightness, rich sweetness, and deep roasted complexity, a profile that rewards both gong fu and Western-style brewing.
Tieguanyin Oolong is also known as Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong Tea.
Our Tieguanyin Oolong Tea is a remarkable charcoal-roasted oolong that begins with wild-grown Tieguanyin plants nurtured on cool, elevated mountain slopes. The leaves are harvested by hand to preserve their integrity and slow-roasted over lychee wood charcoal, a method that deepens the flavour while preserving aromatic complexity. This artisanal tea delivers a bright golden liquor with floral and fruity notes, culminating in a rich, lingering aftertaste known as Guanyin Yun.
Unlike modern lightly oxidised Tieguanyin, this traditional style emphasises depth, warmth, and a toasty sweetness that evolves through multiple infusions.
