2017 Aged Shu Puer Tea Brick (100g)
Crafted from carefully selected leaf material in Yunnan, this 2017 vintage Shu Puer Tea Brick is unique for its prominent aroma, a sought-after fragrance profile in aged Puer. The tea has undergone the traditional “wet-pile” fermentation process, followed by proper ageing, which has developed into a soft, smooth, and richly aromatic character.
The leaves are compressed into a compact brick form, making it easy to store, age further, or break off for brewing. Infusions reveal a deep, burgundy-colored liquor that is clean, full-bodied, and inviting. In the cup, the flavour profile is dense and comprehensive: woody base notes, subtle nutty and chocolate undertones, and a lingering velvety sweetness with no bitterness or harsh earthiness. The aftertaste is smooth and mellow, with excellent staying power.
Because the tea is already aged, since 2017, it offers a more mature drinking experience right away, perfect for those who appreciate a rich, softened Shu Puer with distinctive aroma and texture. As Puer Tea gets better with age, this tea is worth collecting until it is 20 years old or older, but of course, can be enjoyed now!
